Relational Junction was our former product name. All the same functionality you rely on — backups, replication, exports, connectors, and related tooling — now lives as the Sesame Software product suite. This branding consolidation helps us streamline offerings and clarify product capabilities and use cases for current and future customers. The underlying technology, support teams, SLAs, and contracts remain unchanged, and you’ll find updated branding and documentation under the Sesame Software name. In short: only the name has changed — your integrations, data, and service levels remain the same.
For on-premise and cloud, we use a flat annual pricing model based on the data sources you connect — you pay one predictable rate regardless of how much data you move. Unlike competitors whose costs scale unpredictably with data volume, there are no surprises on your bill as your data grows. Salesforce Backup & Recovery plans start at $500/month, billed annually, and NetSuite exports start at $5,000.
A replica is a near real-time copy of your source data, continuously synced into a relational database for active use. An archive is data that has been moved and stored long-term — typically for retention policies, audits, or cost management purposes. Both serve different needs and can be used together.
Sesame Software's Salesforce Backup and Recovery plans start at $500 per month, billed annually. Pricing is flat and annual, so your bill doesn't grow with the amount of data you back up. Core, Pro and Enterprise add features such as metadata restore, sandbox backups, sandbox seeding and high-frequency backups; see the pricing page for the plan details. Salesforce says pricing for its own Backup & Recover is custom and set through its sales team.
There are three common routes. Salesforce's built-in Data Export generates CSV files on a weekly or monthly schedule, depending on your edition, and the files are removed 48 hours after the email is sent, so you have to download and store them yourself. Salesforce Backup & Recover is Salesforce's own paid backup service. Third-party tools such as Sesame Software back up your data automatically into a database you own, then restore individual fields and records with relationships intact.
Salesforce includes a Data Export service in its editions. It produces CSV backup files, but it isn't a restore tool, it has no service level agreement, and you must download the files within a short window. If you need automated backups and point-in-time restore, a dedicated tool is the usual next step. Sesame Software offers a two-week free trial for on-premise deployments, typically installed during a live webinar with our support staff.
It depends on what you need to protect and where it should live. Compare solutions on how often they back up, whether you can restore a single field or record with its relationships, whether metadata and sandboxes are covered, where the backup is stored, which compliance requirements you must meet, and how the pricing scales. Our guides on the 6 best Salesforce backup tools for IT teams in 2026 and native tools versus enterprise platforms walk through those criteria.

How to Stream Salesforce Data to Snowflake in 2026
Streaming Salesforce data to Snowflake reliably means treating data replication as infrastructure, not a script you run once and hope holds up. That means a self-hosted architecture that keeps sensitive CRM records off third-party servers, a metadata store configured correctly for Snowflake's columnar data platform, automated schema discovery so custom fields don't break the pipeline, and tuned thread ratios and time-slicing.

Salesforce Snowflake Data Integration: Sync Design
A 500,000-record Opportunity object on hourly full refresh burns 12 million API calls a day — from one object. Multiply by twenty and the architecture is untenable before you've written a line of config.
