for Salesforce.com
Sesame Software released Relational Junction 4.2.0 with the Real Time Option today, providing real-time bi-directional replication for Salesforce.com. This option enables the Relational Junction Customer Portal for Salesforce to immediately reflect all changes between Salesforce.com and the back-end database. |

Sesame Software launches Customer Portal offering on AppExchange
Sesame Software received certification by Salesforce.com today for its customer portal offering, becoming the first such offering to provide a non-stop solution for customer issue tracking that interfaces with Salesforce.com. Relational Junction Customer Portal for Salesforce uses the Relational Junction for Salesforce mirrored database to provide a flexible platform for application development, yet replicate all data to Salesforce.com.
Junior States of America, Sirsi Dynix, Bottomline Technologies, and of course Sesame Software already use the customer portal to drive customer support, problem resolution, knowledge base, and distribution of large documents to their customers. The technology behind this is conventional Java, with direct access to a mirrored relational database rather than coding Salesforce API calls. This gives customers access to the system with no downtime, speeds development of complex applications, and enables very large file attachments. |

Sesame Software acquires Tunelware, adding Portal for Salesforce to its product line-up
Sesame Software announced today a the acqusition of Tunelware of Austin, TX in a strategic move toward development of vertical applications that are closely coupled with Salesforce.com. The Tunelware Portal will allow customers to host internal or external web portals that use the Relational Junction for Salesforce replicated database. This solution is available as a hosted or premise-based application.
Sesame Software will use the Portal for its own customer-facing issue tracking system.
Junior State of America has signed a contract for Sesame Software to provide its web-facing customer portal and back-end accounting integration, allowing customers to register, schedule events, and receive invoices from JSA's QuickBooks Enterprise accounting system. |

Sesame Software announces new QuickBooks Integration
Sesame Software announced today a new integration between Salesforce.com and QuickBooks. This solution is available for QuickBooks Professional, Premier, and Online Editions. Salesforce.com Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions are supported.
The integration includes the following standard functionality:
- Creation and maintenance of Items in QuickBooks, with changes synchronized to Salesforce.com Products
- Creation of Customers in QuickBooks based on an Account's having its first opportunity reach a configurable stage
- Updating of selected information in Salesforce Accounts when changes are made in QuickBooks
- Creation of financial transactions in QuickBooks when Opportunities reach a configurable stage. The integration supports creation of Sales Orders or Invoices, depending on which QuickBooks version is used.
- This solution is highly configurable and can be customized.

Relational Junction for Salesforce enhanced for bi-directional replication

The first customer, Business Objects, deployed Relational Junction for Salesforce and Relational Junction ETL Manager to convert years of legacy data during its rollout of Salesforce.com to the entire sales department.
