Management

Rick Banister, President

Rick Banister has developed application systems for thirty years in his roles as a product architect, project manager, software developer, systems integrator, and database analyst. His extensive experience in application development includes Oracle and Java programming, database design, implementation and tuning. He is a leading expert in Database ETL, CRM implementation, Quality Assurance, and Product Improvement processes, and the inventor of the ExtraView issue tracking product.

Mr. Banister formed Sesame Software in 1988 as a professional services organization. Over the course of the following fifteen years, he authored many custom-built ETL systems for major corporations, including Cisco, Sony Pictures, Covad, Lifescan, GlobeCast, and ebrary. He observed that all of these projects could have been done much more easily with an ETL tool, but none of these companies were willing to use any of the products on the market. Thus, he saw the need for the Relational Junction product suite, which was developed in 2004 to meet the needs of enterprise integration and information warehousing.
